Too bad:Kaizer Chiefs star sees loan deal to rivals CANCELLED!

After a deal was reportedly agreed for a Kaizer Chiefs player to go on loan for the rest of the season, it looks like there has been a massive U-turn!

Kaizer Chiefs star was believed to have sealed a loan switch to a PSL rival on transfer deadline

On Tuesday, it was thought that three players would be leaving Chiefs temporarily, having announced three signing the day before.

Sam was supposed to leave Chiefs on loan

Christian Saile saw his loan move to SuperSport United confirmed. The DRC winger even went on to score on his debut for the club. In exchange, Chiefs have been given the services of striker Tashreeq Morris on a permanent deal. The other player that left Amakhosi on deadline day is thought to be Mduduzi Mdantsane. The playmaker has joined Richard’s Bay FC on loan until the end of the season according to reports.

The third player who was believed to be primed for a Chiefs exit was left back Bongani Sam. This publication reported that he was set to sign for fellow Betway Premiership side Magesi FC on loan. Now according to SABC Sport, that deal has since hit a snag!

“There has been a huge twist in the deal that would have seen Kaizer Chiefs defender Bogani Sam join Betway Premiership counterparts Magesi FC. SABC Sport on Tuesday reported a deal had been agreed between the two clubs for Sam to spend the rest of the 2024/25 season on loan at the topflight rookies. However, word reaching the public broadcaster’s desk is that Dikwena Tsa Meetse pulled the plug on the move at the last minute on Tuesday evening. It is understood that Magesi were keen on landing the former Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows full-back for the next few months, with the player even having completed a medical in Johannesburg prior to his trip to Limpopo.

The Carling Knockout champions instead notified Amakhosi that they no longer have room for Sam. This after they were unable to offload a few players of their own before the transfer deadline, while having to also pay a portion of his salary.” Wrote their website.
