Another surprise today in Tottenham see what is happening
Tottenham receive quadruple injury boost ahead of Elfsborg match
The Tottenham Hotspur players have been training on Wednesday morning ahead of the Europa League fixture against Elfsborg and Ange Postecoglou has a quadruple injury boost.
The spotlight is firmly on Tottenham at the moment with the club’s struggles well documented following another disappointing 2-1 defeat to Leicester City at the weekend.
As is standard protocol for Europa League fixtures, the media are invited to watch the first fifteen minutes of the session at the club’s Hotspur Way training ground prior to the clash against their Swedish opponents tomorrow night.
Tottenham are looking to secure their place in the knockout stages of the competition and will be keen to avoid a two-legged tie in February by finishing in the top eight of the League Phase standings.
Quadruple injury boost for Tottenham training
There was a welcome boost yesterday when footage of Micky van de Ven returned to training following his lengthy hamstring injury.
Another surprise today in Tottenham see what is happening was the involvement of Guglielmo Vicario in the session following the Italian’s ankle surgery, who was also out on the pitch along with Yves Bissouma and Richarlison (George Sessions).
Vicario has not featured since Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on November 24th.
Dead Spence, Pape Matar Sarr and James Maddison were absent, while Cristian Romero continued his rehab work in the gym.
Among the players seen on the training pitch today were:
Guglielmo Vicario, Pedro Porro, Radu Dragusin, Ben Davies, Micky van de Ven, Dejan Kulusevski, Lucas Bergvall, Yves Bissouma, Mikey Moore, Will Lankshear, Richarlison, Heung-min Son
Tottenham vs Elfsborg takes place on Thursday evening at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with kick-off at 8 pm and the match being televised live in the UK on TNT Sports.
