Just in: Chiefs playmaker becomes latest player to leave Kaizer Chiefs!
Kaizer Chiefs are having a mini clear out on transfer deadline day as a third player is set to leave the club for the second half of the season.
Kaizer Chiefs continue their clear out as the January transfer window comes to a close at midnight.
On Monday, Chiefs announced three signings and now start the balancing act with some exits for game time purposes.
Chiefs now working on exits
Already on deadline day, Chiefs have released Christian Saile as part of a swap deal with SuperSport United. That loan move sees Tashreeq Morris join Amakhosi on a permanent 2-and-half-year deal. The second exit sees former Orlando Pirates man Bongani Sam sign for strugglers Magesi FC also on loan.
Now, according to FARPost, the duo will be joined out of the Chiefs door by Mduduzi Mdantsane. The report claims that the playmaker is set to join Richard’s Bay FC on loan until the end of the season.
“Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Richards Bay. The two clubs have finalised the loan transfer, and the midfielder is scheduled to travel to KwaZulu-Natal to complete his move. Chiefs have since decided to loan him and give him game time for the next four months. The deal would mean he returns to Naturena ahead of the 2025/26 season. Mdantsane, a product of Chiefs’ academy, joined the club at the start of the 2023/24 season. Last season, he featured in 16 matches in all competitions, scoring a goal and providing an assist. His contract will expire in June 2026.” Wrote the publication.
Mdantsane set to join Richards Bay on loan
Mdantsane has only played in the Home of Legends Cup in Gqeberha for Chiefs under the new regime. This after being unable to participate in pre-season due to a serious jaw injury. It doesn’t look like he was able to impress in that tournament , however . This after still continuing to miss out on the match day squad despite being fit. He has even seen George Matlou come in and get opportunities ahead of him.
