NO WAY! Mamelodi Sundowns REJECT Kaizer Chiefs’ offer for Bafana star due too.

Kaizer Chiefs are looking to bolster their side with experience and quality this window and this has taken them to Mamelodi Sundowns!

Kaizer Chiefs look to continue attacking the transfer market aggressively with just two days remaining in the January window.

Chiefs understand that their current log situation means they have to show ambition to add quality  to their squad.

Chiefs chasing experience on the market

This comes after a big cry from coach Nasreddine Nabi for the club to add experienced players to his squad. So far this season, it has been the ‘kids’ who have shouldered the burden that comes with the Chiefs jersey. The likes of Mduduzi ShabalalaWandile Duba and Mfundo Vilakazi have been among the top goal contributors for the team. While on the other hand, Samkelo Zwane has also had mixed fortunes in the team’s midfield without proper guidance along side him.

That has prompted the Chiefs bosses to act in the vein during the current transfer window. The club are believed to be close to wrapping up two forward signings. One being Tashreeq Morris who brings a wealth of experience playing the Betway Premiership. The striker is set to help the club in their quest to add more of a goal threat. He is set to be joined by Glody Lilepo on that mission.

Morris and Lilepo set to join

The 27-year-old Lilepo comes with international experience as well as know how of playing on the continent. He is also coming back from playing in France. Chiefs are also believed to be on the verge of signing another experienced player in Thabo CeleThis highlighting that they have listened to Nabi. One position they are still trying to find a similar player for is left-back. They rely mainly on Bradley Cross from that side, with Happy Mashiane sometimes second or third choice.

Chiefs also don’t seem to have much faith in Bongani Sam, who signed from Orlando Pirates. According to Sunday World, Amakhosi were offered Bafana Bafana international Terrence Mashego by Mamelodi Sundowns. But unfortunately a deal could not be struck.

Sundowns’ Mashego pursuit failed

“Talks between the Naturena boys and Terrence Mashego have apparently hit a snag over the selling price. He is another player that Chiefs wanted to sign from Sundowns. But the deal is off the table after the two parties failed to reach common ground over the selling price” wrote the publication.
