João Gomes message to fans after Red card incident and loss to Arsenal

The seven-word message Wolves fans were singing to Jeff Shi and Fosun vs Arsenal

Wolves lost for the fourth game in a row in the Premier League, falling short to Arsenal after a frantic 90 minutes.

The Old Gold will feel disappointed to walk away from the fixture as the losing side, given that Arsenal were reduced to ten men.

Such was not exploited when Vitor Pereira’s squad had the chance, seeing João Gomes follow Myles Lewis-Skelly down the tunnel with a second-half red card.

Once again, Wolves lost in the Premier League, with a lot to be asked of the players on the pitch, the squad in general and most importantly, the club’s hierarchy.

Wolves fans send message to Fosun during Arsenal defeat

Wolves showed bright spells against Arsenal, putting the Gunners to the test on the road for the most part.

While there were encouraging signs, some will say that Wolves didn’t show enough fight to win the game, as pressure continues to mount at the bottom of the table.

Pereira took on a difficult job when taking the reins from Gary O’Neil, a job that will be made even harder if he is not sufficiently supported.

During the defeat to Arsenal, Wolves fans were heard chanting in the direction of chairman Jeff Shi and owners Fosun, sending a clear message to the hierarchy.

“Back the team, or sell the club,” frustrated supporters inside Molineux chanted, something that can’t be argued.

It’s not the first time that Wolves fans have taken aim at Fosun during a fixture, with the owners and Shi consistently urged to do more in terms of supporting the squad.

Vitor Pereira needs backing before it’s too late

Four consecutive defeats amid a relegation battle is unacceptable but, for Wolves, very little can be blamed on the manager.

Already, Pereira understands that his transfer needs will not be met by those above him, admitting only earlier in the week that he’s unlikely to have his demands met this window.

Given what was on show against Arsenal, signings are needed to bolster the squad as a whole, with so much improvement needed if Wolves are to survive the drop.

23 games in with just four wins is not what fans deserve, giving Fosun extra incentive to back the club as relegation from the top flight is becoming a growing possibility.
