CHIEFS CLOSE TO SECURING THIRD DEAL
Amakhosi DDC product, Naledi Hlongwane is currently training with the senior side.
“What I can tell you now is that the promotion process is as good as done. They have already allocated jersey number 35 to him and he traveled with the team to Durban for the game against Sekhukhune United. It was thought that he was supposed to have played the game but they changed the decision in the last minute,” the Siya source stated on SoccerLaduma.
Moreover, he is set to join Chiefs on a three-year deal.
“Yes, coming to the contract, it’s an initial three-year senior team contract and it will run until June 2028. So, yes, things are working out for the youngsters at Chiefs right now,” he added.
AMAKHOSI WRAPPING UP MORE DEALS
Chiefs are on the brink of securing their first signing of the January transfer window.
Moreover, Christian Saile will be heading out of Naturena. Meaning, he is set to become Chiefs’ first exit of the current window.
However, he will not be the last. Currently, SIX Chiefs players are facing likely departures. Meaning, more players will leave – some on loan and some permanently.
So, what goes up must come down. Saile will be exchanged for SuperSport United striker, Tashreeq Morris will undergo medicals this week. Meanwhile, this R10-million international player has agreed to join Chiefs following a big offer from the Soweto giants.

Motaung Jr hints at Kaizer Chiefs’ best player, ‘not for sale’
Kaizer Chiefs’ Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr has discussed the ins and outs of the transfer market, making some fascinating revelations.
Motaung Jr wants to keep Kaizer Chiefs’ best players
“To be fair, I don’t even entertain that we’re here all the other clubs are our partners. We are stakeholders in the league, we need each other. They need us. We need them. And it’s a situation of us coming to negotiations,” Motaung JR reported to iDiski Times.
“They always will have their standpoint. They want to keep their best players. If you had to ask me, anybody coming to ask, you know, ‘sell us Shabalala’, I would say, No.
“It’s part of negotiations, it’s part of the industry, it’s part of the business. They have goals they want to achieve. We have ours. So it’s about us engaging in a positive way and trying our best to achieve the goals.
“So we respect them and respect they respect us. And it’s part of the industry, and you find that, you know, worldwide.”
Mduduzi Shabalala is coming of age
One young player who Chiefs don’t want to leave is 21-year-old Mduduzi Shabalala who celebrated his birthday on Monday, 20 January. News of a new contract for ‘Mdu or Die’ is a boost for the player and the club. It’s also a deserving reward for the hard work he’s put into his craft. Mdu is now the team’s creative heartbeat. After moments of inconsistency in 2023-2024, he’s making this season his own with a string of impressive and authoritative performances as the creative hub and number 10 playmaker. He’s got four goals and an assist from 13 appearances.

“Starting Jan 26 I want to see new players donning KCFC jerseys on the field at FNB. Tired of being a laughing stock.”
