Risky Maneuver : Leicester willing to sell the Belgium international for about £15million.

Leicester City are reportedly open to offers for defender Wout Faes and are said to be willing to part with the Belgian international for a fee of around £15 million. Faes, who had been a regular starter under previous manager Steve Cooper, has struggled to regain a first-team spot since the arrival of Ruud van Nistelrooy. The Dutchman has preferred Conor Coady and Jannik Vestergaard as his central defensive partnership, leaving Faes out of the lineup.

Leicester, who are looking to bolster their squad, are expected to announce the £3 million signing of Woyo Coulibaly from Parma. In addition, they are keen to add a winger, a left-sided centre-back, and a forward to provide competition for Jamie Vardy. The club is also eager to terminate the season-long loan of Odsonne Edouard from Crystal Palace. However, since Edouard cannot play for another European club during the ongoing season, Leicester’s hope is to generate interest from Major League Soccer or another league where the season has yet to begin.

Sheffield United have shown strong interest in Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury, though the clubs have not yet agreed on the terms of a potential loan move. Leicester is attempting to negotiate an obligation to buy, but the Blades are only willing to commit to an option to purchase. Meanwhile, Leicester could recall forward Tom Cannon from his loan at Stoke if they manage to sell him permanently. Sheffield United and Sunderland are reportedly both interested in Cannon’s services.

Faes earned a rare start in Leicester’s 6-2 FA Cup win over QPR and capped off his performance by scoring his second goal of the season, but it remains to be seen whether he will stay at the club amid transfer speculation.
