Huddersfield Town Owner Kevin Nagle Expresses Pride in Securing Joe Taylor Transfer from Luton Town

Huddersfield Town owner Kevin Nagle has expressed his pride in signing Joe Taylor, the striker who completed his move to the John Smith’s Stadium on Friday from Championship side Luton Town for an undisclosed fee.

The signing marks a significant moment for the Terriers, who had previously missed out on Taylor last summer. Nagle shared his excitement on social media, stating: “Very proud to sign a new striker so early in this January window, especially one that we’ve been interested in for so long!”

He also praised the efforts of the club’s staff, adding: “Huge thanks and congratulations to Mark (Cartwright, sporting director), especially on getting this deal done, also Jake (Edwards, chief executive) and his whole team at the Club as well.”

The move signifies a positive step in Huddersfield’s pursuit of strengthening their squad in the January window, with Taylor set to play a key role in the club’s ambitions for the rest of the season.

Huddersfield Town’s Kevin Nagle Delighted with Joe Taylor Signing as Second January Addition

Huddersfield Town owner Kevin Nagle has expressed his excitement over the club’s second signing of the January window, with striker Joe Taylor joining from Luton Town. Taylor, 22, could make his debut this Saturday when Michael Duff’s side travel to Blackpool.

Nagle shared his enthusiasm on social media, thanking the Town fans for their support: “Thank you for your kind words, Town fans. I’m just as excited as you for this second half of the season! I know Michael (Duff) and the team want to keep this run going. UTT!!!”

Taylor, who previously enjoyed successful loan spells at Colchester United and Lincoln City, brings valuable experience to the Terriers. Duff praised Taylor’s character and determination, particularly highlighting his impressive finish to last season at Lincoln City. “The way he completed last season on loan with Lincoln City at this level right at the top of the league speaks to his character and will to succeed, and those are values we want to see in our players – you can never have too many winners in your group,” Duff remarked.

The signing of Taylor follows that of Dutch wing-back Ruben Roosken, as Huddersfield aim to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season. The team currently sits fourth in the standings, just four points off the automatic promotion spots.
