Done Deal: EPL star accept West Ham offer
Chelsea star wants West Ham move says Sky Sports journalist but Potter causing delay
West Ham have been linked with a host of Chelsea players in the last two windows and one of them wants the move.
Chelsea and West Ham are no strangers to do transfer deals down the years.
Emerson Palmieri and Kurt Zouma were the latest to leave Chelsea for the Hammers.
Declan Rice also joined West Ham when he was discarded by boyhood club Chelsea.
John Terry, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole and Glen Johnson all went from east to west London.
The Irons were also linked with defender Trevoh Chalobah, forward David Datro Fofana and made a last ditch move for Carney Chukwuemeka.
In the end, none of those deals got done with Sterling and Chalobah moving to Arsenal and Palace on loan respectively.
West Ham interested in Chelsea stars
The Hammers’ midfield has been central to all of the club’s problems this season.
It is slow, immobile provides neither protection for the back four or guile and creativity to the forward line.
West Ham have put together an incoherent mix of players who do not complement each other well.
Chelsea meanwhile have been on the up and up under former Hammers assistant boss Enzo Maresca.
The Italian has been brutally honest over who is – and isn’t – part of his plans at Stamford Bridge.
Maresca has made it clear Chukwuemeka and several others aren’t part of his plans and should move to get more game time.
The Hammers are on the hunt for a new striker and midfielder in the January transfer window.
But Chukwuemeka isn’t the only Chelsea midfielder the Hammers are showing an interest in.
West Ham are also showing a keen interest in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Chelsea star wants West Ham move says Sky Sports journalist
And the Chelsea star wants the West Ham move says a Sky Sports journalist but Graham Potter is causing a delay.
Dewsbury-Hall has barely featured since following Maresca to Chelsea from Leicester for £30m in the summer.
The 26-year-old has played only 56 minutes in the Premier League for the Blues.
Dewsbury-Hall has started seven of Chelsea’s Europa Conference League matches and both League Cup games, though, scoring twice in Europe.
Now according to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett, Dewsbury-Hall is aware of West Ham’s interest and is open to the move.
The problem is West Ham are still making their mind up whether to make a formal loan move.
“West Ham are interested in Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but yet to decide whether to make an official approach for him,” Dorsett said.
“Hammers can only afford a loan deal after big summer spend. KDH likely to be open to the possibility – wants more regular game-time.”

Graham Potter causing Hammers bid delay
Hammers News understands the reason for West Ham’s delay is that they are waiting to get the green light from ex Chelsea boss Potter.
West Ham are on the verge of sacking Julen Lopetegui and have held talks with Potter about taking over.
The Englishman has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea back in April 2023.
It is understood West Ham are waiting for Potter to agree to take over and give a move for Dewsbury-Hall his blessing before approaching Chelsea.
The east Londoners are sorely lacking a ball-carrying midfielder.
Carlos Soler has blown hot and cold while Lucas Paqueta’s form fell off a cliff at the start of 2024 and has never recovered.
Dewsbury-Hall’s big strengths are dribbling, through balls and key passes.
So he could be just what West Ham need.
Importantly, he also counts as a homegrown player.
