Kaizer Chiefs transfer: Amakhosi to lose out on another big target
Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly been eyeing Tanzanian midfielder Feisal Salum for some time but are yet to make an offer.
Kaizer Chiefs may lose another target in the coming weeks if they don’t act quickly.
Azam midfielder Feisal Salum has been linked with the Soweto giants for several months; however, it seems that no official offer has been made for this talented player. It is believed that Amakhosi’s new assistant coach, Kaze, has shifted the club’s focus towards the Tanzanian midfielder Feisal Salum.
Reports indicate that Kaizer Chiefs were interested in bringing Salum to Naturena in January. “There could be more changes in the squad at Chiefs in January,” an inside told Soccer Laduma.
“You know the Tanzanian midfielder that Mamelodi Sundowns have been following, Feisal Salum? Kaizer are now after him.
“If Chiefs are to get him, Fiston Mayele and Oswin Appollis will have to go beyond their budget,” an insider disclosed.
Kaizer Chiefs might lose out on another target
Azam spokesperson Hashim Ibwe told FARPost that no contact was made by Chiefs or any other club for the midfielder.
“We can confirm that there have been no discussions between Kaizer Chiefs or any club and Azam FC regarding Feisal Salum,” Ibwe told FARPost. “He remains under contract with Azam FC and respects the club, which we appreciate.”

Brian Baloyi saddened by Itu Khune’s situation with Kaizer Chiefs
Brian Baloyi believes Itu Khune, his management and Kaizer Chiefs should have all handled the current situation better.
Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brian Baloyi has revealed he is saddened by Itumeleng Khune‘s situation with the club.
Khune was in his final season with Chiefs last term, but he repeatedly expressed his desire to continue playing.
Chiefs previously revealed talks behind the scenes for Khune to still be part of the club in a non-playing role.
However, the two parties are yet to come to an agreement regarding that, and Baloyi believes the situation should have been handled better by both.
Baloyi, though, is of the view that Khune shouldn’t play the blame game, adding that retiring from any sport is not easy.
Furthermore, Baloyi said while Chiefs can be blamed, Khune and his agency should also blame themselves in this whole situation.
BRIAN BALOYI TELLS KHUNE NOT TO BLAME KAIZER CHIEFS
“The situation could have been handled better from both ends. Blame must not only go to the club, but it must also go to Khune’s team and him as a person,” Baloyi told TimesLIVE.
“After all is said and done, as a man you have to take responsibility and stop with the blame game. I was chatting to friends recently and pointed out to them that in the past five to six years, he’s played less than 50 games.
“Imagine if he had put everything in his life on hold and focused on himself and his career. Six years is about 200 to 250 games and he would be sitting on more than 600 games and no one was going to catch him in the PSL.
“This is a legacy he could have built for himself, but when he is by himself and reflecting he will say ‘You have done well but you could have done better’.
“I am not only saddened by the whole situation, but also disappointed with the club, him and the team managing him because they should have dealt this with much better,” added Baloyi.
