Injury update: He might not play again: Spurs player suffers career ending injury

Tottenham star Brennan Johnson forced off with suspected injury

Premier League icon namedrops Tottenham star deemed ‘undroppable’.

Tottenham Hotspur have had their fair share of injury concerns in the 2024/25 season, and the Lilywhites supporters were breathing heavily, pondering Brennan Johnson’s fitness following his early exit from Wale a last game.

The former Nottingham Forest wide forward is playing the football of his life as he enjoys a seven-game goal-scoring streak, with his latest bow coming for his country. The 23-year-old broke the deadlock in the eleventh minute and gave Wales an early lead before Harry Wilson doubled Wales’ advantage as they went into halftime with a 2-0 lead (sounds familiar?).

Coming into the second half, Wales gave away two goals to Iceland, with the game ending in a 2-2 draw.

Brennan Johnson injury raises concerns at Tottenham

However, that is not the headline that Spurs fans should care about. The Lilywhites forward Brennan Johnson was forced out at halftime with a suspected injury, and Wales manager Craig Bellamy has provided the latest on his injury status as Spurs faithful continue to run their fingernails on his fitness.

Bellamy insists that it was a precautionary withdrawal after getting kicked in the first half. Speaking after the game, he said: (via BBC Sport)

“It was a precaution. He took a kick. He did feel something from impact so we’ll get him checked out.”

Moreover, the fact that he picked up a yellow card against Iceland means he will serve a suspension for the next Welsh fixture and get some much-needed rest before he bangs again for Tottenham when they resume their Premier League duties.

Spurs are scheduled to host West Ham at White Hart Lane next weekend, and the Lilywhites would hope Brennan would keep his Judas touch going into the game against the Hammers.
