EPL Pundit makes hilarious West Brom vs Middlesbrough prediction
Middlesbrough know they face a tough test when they travel to West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday evening.
When the 2024/25 season got underway, expectations were no doubt high at the Riverside Stadium.
Middlesbrough missed out on the play-offs by just six points in the previous campaign.
But Boro kept hold of all their key players this summer and made nine additions to their first-team squad, suggesting they would break into the top six this time around.
Middlesbrough beat Stoke City 2-0 last time out, seeing them move up to eighth in the Championship table.
Michael Carrick will be aware that a win this evening could see the Teessiders climb into the play-offs for the first time this season but is also no doubt wary of the threat West Bromwich Albion pose.
The Baggies’ only defeat so far this term came last weekend when they lost 3-2 to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

EFL pundit shares West Brom vs Middlesbrough score prediction
However, it is imperative that Middlesbrough get at least something out of Tuesday’s game at The Hawthorns.
This is because, including this game, the North East outfit are now in the midst of a very tough run of Championship fixtures.
Boro face a high-flying Watford in their final game before the international break before further tough tests against the likes of Sheffield United and Norwich City await in the coming weeks.
Now, EFL pundit Sam Parkin, speaking on the Championship Check-In podcast, has made his prediction for West Brom versus Middlesbrough.
Parkin praised Boro for their ‘really complete’ display against Stoke and has backed them to beat Carlos Corberan’s men tonight.
He said: “I’m going to go against everything I’ve said in the last week or two.
“I’m going to say this is going to be West Brom’s early season wobble. I think they’re going to be right up there fighting for automatic promotion, I’ll caveat it with that.
“I’m going to go for Boro to win, to start converting these chances after that really complete performance at the weekend.
“I’ll go for West Brom one Middlesbrough two.”
What Middlesbrough must do to beat West Brom
Despite Parkin predicting a Middlesbrough win, fans of the North East outfit should be well aware this game will be no walk in the park.
Boro’s only away victory in the Championship so far this season came against a very poor Cardiff City team.
And while West Brom lost to Sheffield Wednesday last time out, they have looked very impressive in their other matches this term.
The Baggies also have the current Championship top scorer on their books, with Josh Maja having found the net a staggering seven times already.
As a result, if Middlesbrough want to cause something of an upset and pick up three points in the Midlands, they have to start taking their chances.
The addition of Ben Doak to the starting line-up last time out did see Boro’s attack become more clinical.
But West Brom are a much better team than Stoke and Tuesday’s game should give a good indicator of the Scotsman’s true impact with the Reds.
