Tottenham agree another transfer to follow record-busting Solanke coup after Levy compromises

Tottenham have agreed a transfer with AC Milan on the back of Bournemouth agreeing to sell Dominic Solanke to Spurs in a record-setting move.

Spurs and Ange Postecoglou looked to Solanke, a player who has a strong profile, after the player expressed his wish to sign a new striker.

The striker, who scored 19 goals in the Premier League the previous year, has agreed to leave Bournemouth. Solanke has a £65 million release clause protecting him, albeit it is known the deal is complicated.

It is unclear if Tottenham will activate the option or reach an agreement with Bournemouth to waive it.

However, it is evident that Bournemouth is prepared to profit, that Solanke has reached a personal agreement, and that, should the deal go through, it will be the most costly sale in Bournemouth’s history.

Should the agreement exceed £60 million, it would also turn into Tottenham’s most costly acquisition to date. Richarlison now holds the record with £50 million + £10 million in add-ons. However, he might be traded if Solanke arrives.

“With Pedro Porro, Tottenham would definitely attempt to fill the void, but they would need one more player,” Romano said to GiveMeSport.

“It is true that Tottenham values [Issa] Kabore, a former player for Luton Town who currently plays for Manchester City.

“But someone informed me there are other options besides him. Thus, a number of options are under consideration.

While Kabore, 23, has been a member of Man City’s roster since 2020, he has not yet participated in a single game for the team.

Rather, he has spent most of his time with City on loan, and his most recent stint away came during the Premier League season with Luton Town.
