Dolphins v Sea Eagles: Farnworth returns; Croker, Brown sidelined

With four wins from their past six games, the Dolphins are proving a real threat in 2024 while the Sea Eagles will be looking to get their season back on track after a disappointing defeat to Canberra.

Wayne Bennett’s men continue to defy the odds with some key injuries and have now taken care of the Eels and Cowboys with a close loss to the Knights in between to move into the top four, just two wins behind equal competition leaders Cronulla and Melbourne.

If the Dolphins can produce the same attacking flair and get the job done at home against Manly on Thursday, it will be the first time in the club’s history to come away with four consecutive wins.

The Sea Eagles, meanwhile, will be out to prove they’re still a major competition threat after letting up a 20-0 lead to go down to the Raiders in Round 9.

With forward Ben Trbojevic back from a hamstring injury, coach Anthony Seibold looks to have a clean bill of health and Manly will be desperate to get their confidence levels back up before they face the Broncos in Magic Round.

Dolphins: Late changes an hour before kick-off with Kenny Bromwich dropping back to 18th man after initially being named to return from concussion. Felise Kaufusi moves to the front row, Connelly Lemuelu joins the starting side and Kurt Donoghue is added to the bench. Centre Herbie Farnworth is back after missing four games with a shoulder injury.

Sea Eagles: The Sea Eagles are 1-17 with no late changes. Ben Trbojevic is back after missing three games with a hamstring injury so Ethan Bullemor reverts to the bench. Nathan Brown drops out due to a hip flexor injury. Hooker Lachlan Croker sustained a concussion against the Raiders and has entered the NRL concussion protocol. He is replaced in the starting side by Karl Lawton with Gordon Chan Kum Tong added to the bench. Aaron Woods is 18th man.NRL 2021: Ben Trbojevic joins brothers Tom and Jake in Manly side | Daily Telegraph
