Baltimore Ravens to exchange Joe Flacco to Denver Broncos
The Baltimore Ravens have concurred to exchange quarterback Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos, agreeing to reports.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter to begin with detailed the news. Mike Klis of 9News in Denver detailed the Ravens will get a fourth-round choose from the Broncos for Flacco.
The exchange cannot be authoritatively handled until the unused NFL alliance year starts on Walk 13 and the groups are denied from formally commenting on the bargain or the terms encompassing it until at that point.
The bargain implies Baltimore are committing to 2018 first-round choose Lamar Jackson as their quarterback moving forward.
Jackson took over from Flacco as Baltimore’s beginning quarterback halfway through the season and made a difference the Ravens reach the playoffs, where they were vanquished by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Flacco, 34, clears out the Ravens after 11 seasons in Baltimore. He made a difference the group win Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers in 2012.
The entry of Flacco in Denver casts questions on Case Keenum’s future with the group.
Keenum marked a two-year, $36m bargain with the Broncos in free office earlier to final season after exceeding expectations with the Minnesota Vikings in 2017.
But he fizzled to imitate that frame in Denver, tossing for 3,890 yards, 18 touchdowns and 15 interceptor as the Broncos wrapped up with a disillusioning 6-10 record.
Keenum, 30, features a cap hit of $21m in 2019 but the Broncos can spare $11m by cutting him.
