Ange’s update on Micky van de Ven

It has been revealed by Ange Postecoglou that Micky van de Ven will probably miss Saturday’s trip to Fulham

The defender sustained an injury during our 4-0 victory over Fulham on Sunday, forcing him off the field. Until the full extent of his injury is known, he is clearly doubtful for our trip to Craven Cottage.

When questioned about Micky’s circumstances on Wednesday, Ange Postecoglou of Sky Sports said, “We’re still getting all of the information in.” It isn’t anything serious, in our opinion. It is likely that we will receive additional details by the conclusion of the week.

He’s definitely unlikely to play for Fulham, but maybe the international break will prevent him from missing too much more action after that.

After Micky van de Ven was substituted three minutes into the second half of our 4-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday, Ange Postecoglou had good news about the center back.

Shortly after making a lunging block, the outstanding Dutch defender pulled up. Radu Dragusin, playing his longest match as a Spurs player to date, impressed for 45 minutes alongside Cuti Romero. After we played 10 minutes of extra time at Villa Park, goals from Timo Werner, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, and Heung-Min Son saw us home to a crucial victory.

On our Review Show, Ange responded to a question regarding Micky by saying, “No news yet, but it doesn’t look significant.” He clearly felt something, but from what I could tell when we spoke, he didn’t think it was anything major. I hope he won’t be absent for too long.

“I’m not sure, he doesn’t think it’s anything too significant,” Ange responded when asked about him at his post-match press conference. It was really disheartening for him because, up until then, he had excelled once more. It was great to see Radu enter the game. This was his first major chunk of playing time in a major game, and I felt he handled it extremely well.
