Tottenham: Ange Postecoglou tipped to sign another centre-back despite Radu Dragusin transfer

Tottenham are likely to target another centre-back in the summer despite signing Radu Dragusin in January, according to Paul Robinson.
Although Ange Postecoglou was obliged to employ Ben Davies and Emerson Royal as a makeshift center pairing, the Romanian was signed in for £26.7 million from Genoa [Sky Sports, January 12]. However, he has not yet seen a lot of play.
Even though they are now available This season, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have both missed extended amounts of time. Although Robinson has praised the emergency stand-ins, he still thinks the manager will need a fourth specialist before the season ends.
“Davies is a great option to have because he can play as a center-half as well,” he remarked in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News. However, I believe he will examine that area—the back for.
Dragusin is a fantastic addition. Although he’s only recently come off the bench and we haven’t seen anything of him, Romero and Van de Ven’s relationship is undoubtedly his first choice.
Dragusin will be involved if there is an injury or suspension in that area. Thus, if you’re going to go through a season with those three, I believe he might add another for strength and depth the following season.
Ben Davies has shone for Tottenham in the absence of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero
Spurs will still need to give some areas more priority than others even if they have placed themselves in a stronger position than most to be able to make moves in the transfer market.
A center-back was clearly needed coming into January, and Dragusin filled that need. However, should Davies or Royal depart at the conclusion of the season, signing a new center-back might be considered a luxury.
But as the past few months have shown, a selection crisis can jeopardize any campaign, so Postecoglou would undoubtedly appreciate the additional cover if the funding were available.
