Liverpool have shown interest in securing the services of Jonathan Tah, the 28-year-old defender who is also a target for Tottenham Hotspur.

The 28-year-old has become a world-class central defender under Xabi Alonso, attracting interest from all over Europe.
Tah progressed through the ranks at Hamburger SV and played for their first team for two years before joining Leverkusen in the summer of 2015. He has always done well for them throughout the years, but it seems like he has improved recently.
This season, Tah has made 28 appearances and scored six important goals. Many teams, including Liverpool, have taken notice of his exceptional achievements and are keen to add him to their roster.
The 28-year-old Alonso has shown his ability and grown steadily since joining the team. Tah has been a key component of Leverkusen’s incredible undefeated season, as the team is presently leading the Bundesliga after not dropping a single match.
The Reds want to add another top defender to center defense alongside Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konaté in order to ensure they have a strong enough defense to compete for all major championships. Tah is one of the center backs they have on their summer wish list.
According to reports, the 28-year-old, who will only cost €18 million, would prefer to play in the Premier League than any other league.
As a result, the Merseyside club has a fair chance of coming to a deal. They are not, however, the only English team attempting to sign him.
Spurs are considering him; Ange Postecoglou is still searching for a center-back this summer, and Tah is on their list, despite their recent defensive signings.
