How much Everton intend to charge Spurs and Newcastle for James Garner
Football Insider report that Everton will look to charge the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle between £20m and £25m for the services of James Garner in the summer.
For £15 million in 2022, the Toffees acquired Garner from Manchester United, and if they are forced to part ways with him in the upcoming transfer window, they reportedly want to make money off of him.
With Everton’s financial situation, Sean Dyche will reportedly have a “real battle” to retain Garner with the team into the summer, especially if they fall into the Championship.
Tottenham and Newcastle both like James Garner
Starting 22 of Everton’s 30 games this season, Garner has had a breakout campaign on the Merseyside.
This week, TeamTalk revealed that Tottenham is considering Garner as a potential replacement for Conor Gallagher. Football Insider was also among the first to report on Spurs and Newcastle’s interest in the youthful midfield player.
James Garner would definitely be worth £20 million, but I’m not sure if he would be a significant improvement over Tottenham’s present choices. Recall that Lucas Bergvall will also be joining us. The club probably would have preferred to invest a lot of money this summer on someone like Conor Gallagher.
