Tottenham told they’ve got an 18-year-old who can become a ‘real top player’
Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed an amazing January transfer window from start to finish.
Spurs signed Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner, and they immediately made an impact. Tottenham did, in fact, receive the latter rather than Bayern Munich.
After a brief period of slowdown, rumors circulated on transfer deadline day indicating Lucas Bergvall had chosen to join Spurs. In this instance Tottenham had defeated Barcelona to acquire the skill of Djurgardens. In the days that followed, word spread that there would be a summer transition.
It has everything been agreed upon, so even though Spurs aren’t expected to meet the player until the summer, Tottenham effectively owns him.
Albin Ekdal, a recent recruit to Djurgardens, has now revealed how Bergvall has already “impressed” him after just one month of playing there.
The 34-year-old said to Aftonbladet: “He has the potential to develop into a very talented player.” Then, how he handles it is up to him.
He’ll eventually reach a very high level and play in a very competitive environment, but I believe he has what it takes to be a true elite player.
Tottenham signing Lucas Bergvall likened to Ivan Rakitic
Talks about Bergvall’s deal with Tottenham and Barcelona’s involvement in the competition for his services are definitely circulating in Sweden.
It’s hardly surprising, either, given he appears to possess all the skills needed to excel as a player for both club and nation.
Bergvall is a quality prospect coming to Spurs. Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout compared the player to Joey Veerman and Ivan Rakitic.
Bergvall received an 8.5 out of 10 rating from Kulig for his potential and was characterized as a player who is “elegant on the ball with a silky touch” and “extraordinary thinking on the ball.”
From now until the summer, Spurs supporters will undoubtedly be keeping an eye on Djurgardens’ progress. Then, in advance of their preseason, Spurs will welcome him to N17.
