NO DEAL: Nottingham Forest sends strong message to bidding teams

Orel Mangala would much rather stay at Nottingham Forest until the conclusion of the season than move on this month.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who state that the midfielder’s departure is now “not on the agenda.”

Mangala has been strongly linked to leaving Nottingham Forest this month, according to rumors that manager Nuno Espirito Santo is open to his exit and doesn’t have any plans for the player.

Following that, he was connected to a number of Italian teams, suggesting that a trade was possible and that he was a someone to watch.

On the other hand, Foot Mercato reports that a move is currently “not on the agenda” for the Belgian.

In order to guarantee a spot in Belgium’s team for Euro 2024, he wants to play as much as possible for Nottingham Forest to end the season there. He has the “firm intention” of staying put.

He seems to believe that staying put is his greatest opportunity of doing so, so that’s what he’ll be doing. This should, for the time being, put an end to any rumors over his future.
