Injury Update: Lakers player facing a career ending injury

Darvin Ham says there is a ‘High level of concern’ for 1 Laker player’s injury

After losing to the New Orleans Pelicans in their most recent game, the Los Angeles Lakers’ problems still persist.

In addition to losing by 20 points, the Lakers also had to cope with concerning information regarding their forward, Rui Hachimura.

After only eight minutes of play, Hachimura left the game due to a calf injury.

Considering Hachimura didn’t return to the game, many are afraid that the veteran forward could be out for an extended period of time due to the injury.

The concern was confirmed by Darvin Ham after the game via Dave McMenamin on Twitter.

Although the team hasn’t released an official schedule for Hachimura as of yet, there is a lot of worry due to the seriousness of the injury.

Losing a vital player like Rui Hachimura may be more difficult for the Lakers, who are currently in a rut.

Hachimura has averaging 11.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game for the Los Angeles Lakers in his 25 games played this season.

As the team’s third star after LeBron James and Anthony Davis, who are a dynamic tandem, he has stepped up for the team on several occasions.

If Hachimura’s injury proves to be significant, the Lakers’ position in the Western Conference standings could further decline.

With a 17-17 record, the Lakers are presently the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

In their previous ten games, they have a worrying 3-7 record, and they aren’t exhibiting any discernible improvement in the 2023–24 NBA season.
