‘It’s madness’… Micah Richards can’t believe what 23-year-old Tottenham player is doing this season

Micah Richards has given his verdict on Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski after watching him in action against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last week.

The former player for Manchester City has highlighted what makes Kulusevski unique.

What has Michah Richards stated on Dejan Kulusevski, a forward for Tottenham Hotspur? Let’s examine this.

Micah Richards is all over Dejan Kulusevski, a winger for Tottenham Hotspur.

Micah Richards has shared his thoughts on Dejan Kulusevski, a winger for Tottenham Hotspur and a Sweden international.

The former Manchester City player was really impressed with Kulusevski’s performance for Tottenham last week against Nottingham Forest.

Last Friday night, Spurs defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 on the road at the City Ground in the Premier League.

Kulusevski assisted on the first goal and netted the second one himself.

The £25 million (Football.London) winger has the potential to be worth £100 million, according to Gary Neville, who made this statement following the game.

Now that Kulusevski has been handed his assessment, BBC Sport analyst Richards has pointed out how hard the former Juventus player works.

In an interview with The Rest is Football, Richards stated of Kulusevski, “Kulusevski is back to his best.” He had a great Friday night. He has an amazing left foot and puts in a lot of training. Even though he fills the number 10 role in the middle with Johnson on the right, I enjoy the spots he chooses to play.

“It appears like he is enjoying having the freedom to do anything he wants. A very amazing player. Son going to the left which allows Richarlison to be back amongst the goals. I just think the manager, the little tweaks he has made, has just helped the team so much. Starting with Son up-front and then bringing Richarlison up there. Long may it continue.”

When former Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker noted that Kulusevski has run more than any other player in the Premier League this season, Richards replied: “It’s madness. Just he runs though, he presses and he is quick, so you have players who do up and down running, and they used to be your midfielders – your number eights, who would go back and forth and back and forth.

“But it’s the sprints he puts in as well, how much he does of the sprinting, not just the long running. His intensity which he runs at is ridiculous. It works for this team so much and allows the full-backs to get involved and join in. He has just been a joy to watch this season.”

Dejan Kulusevski could rise to prominence

Dejan Kulusevski, a winger for Tottenham Hotspur and a Sweden international, has what it takes to be a top-tier player.

In my opinion, Kulusevski might develop into a “elite” player in two or three years if he keeps up his current level of play and adds more elements to his repertoire.

Kulusevski is now only 23 years old. His skill as a player is continually growing. I think the winger still has more to offer.

Richards said about Kulusevski on The Rest is Football podcast: “Kulusevski is back to his best. On Friday night he was excellent. He works so hard, has such a good left foot. I like the positions he picks up as well, even if he plays in the middle in the number 10 role with Johnson playing on the right.

“He just has the freedom to do whatever he wants and it seems as though he is relishing it. Absolutely wonderful player. Son going to the left which allows Richarlison to be back amongst the goals. I just think the manager, the little tweaks he has made, has just helped the team so much. Starting with Son up-front and then bringing Richarlison up there. Long may it continue.”

Dejan Kulusevski could become world class

In my view, Tottenham Hotspur and Sweden international winger Dejan Kulusevski has the potential to become a world-class player.

I believe that if Kulusevski continues to play like he has done for Spurs and adds more facets to his game, then in two or three years, he could become an ‘elite’ player.

Kulusevski is only 23 now. He is still developing as a player. I believe that there is more to come from the winger.
