Saudi sends first bid for West Ham 27-years-old in January
Football Insider has been informed by sources that Premier League, Spanish, and Saudi Pro League teams are keeping an eye on West Ham star Pablo Fornals ahead of the January transfer window.
On Monday, December 4, Football Insider disclosed that there is a genuine chance that 27-year-old Fornals will depart from the Irons in the upcoming year.
The January transfer window may represent one of the last opportunities to acquire the Spain international since his contract expires at the end of the 2023–24 season.
Fornals may not have a shortage of suitors, even though he hasn’t played much this season.
The former Villarreal star could now be sold by West Ham to generate money for additional January signings.
Football Insider disclosed last week (November 28) that David Moyes’ team is looking to add a striker and a left-back during the winter transfer window.
This season, Fornals has made 14 appearances in all competitions; only six of those appearances have been starts.
He has only started one Premier League game in the 2023–24 season, the opening day draw against Bournemouth, and has yet to score or provide an assist this season.
The 27-year-old, who signed a contract worth reportedly £24 million four years ago, has played in 194 games for the team, tallying 23 goals and supplying 19 assists.
He played a major role in the West Ham team that won the Europa Conference League the previous year, making 50 appearances in all competitions and scoring two goals and seven goals.
Fornals has shown to be a flexible option for West Ham, playing well for Moyes’ team on both flanks and in a variety of midfield roles.
Prior to their next match on Thursday, December 7, against Tottenham, the Irons are ranked ninth in the Premier League standings.
