Injury update: Player spotted back in training ground; He could start against City
Tottenham Hotspur’s injury crisis just got moderately better, as Richarlison has been back on the training pitch as he continues his recovery from surgery on his pelvis.
Upon his arrival at Tottenham in the summer of 2022, Riley has faced some difficulties. It took until April for the Brazilian to score his first Premier League goal for the Lilywhites last season as he struggled with form, managing just three goals for the entire campaign (Transfermarkt).
Paradoxically, he has already scored another goal in the Carabao Cup (Transfermarkt) and matched that domestic total this season. Under Angele Postecoglou, Richarlison has, in fact, appeared a little more cheerful.
But once again, injuries are impeding his development; the 26-year-old just had surgery to address a persistent pelvic problem (ESPN). Before this surgery, the celebrity revealed on Instagram that he had been playing through “a lot of pain.”
James Maddison and Micky van de Ven are two of the Tottenham players out until the New Year, and Richarlison is just one of many players on the injury list at the moment. Fortunately, though, it appears Richarlison will return to action soon.
Richarlison is back on the grass at Hotspur Way
A post from the club’s official Twitter account shows Richarlison back on the grass, striking the ball, and looking pretty happy, too. The post is captioned, “Richy stepping up his rehab.”

The possibility of seeing a first-team player return to fitness soon will probably make Tottenham supporters happy. They may also be hoping that Richarlison will be prepared to “contribute” after his return, as claimed by Postecoglou recently (ESPN Brazil).
Right now, we’ll take any player we can acquire, and Spurs will benefit greatly from the return of a hungry Richarlison who has something to prove. I hope he’s soon up and running again!
