“Definitely happening” Spurs rekindle interest in 20-year-old superstar who is willing to join

According to Football Insider, Juventus’ 20-year-old forward Samuel Iling-Junior has emerged as a top target for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the January transfer window.

The youthful English winger came from the Chelsea development system to join Juventus in 2020. In 671 football minutes, he has made 22 appearances for the Juventus first team, contributing three assists and one goal. (Market Transfer)

Iling-Junior has drawn attention from Tottenham over the past week; Ange Postecoglou, the manager, is rumored to be a major fan of the 20-year-old winger.

Then it was made public that the Cobham alum, who is under contract with Juventus until 2025, wishes to depart the Italian powerhouse in order to play regularly for a team.

After Tottenham Hotspur expressed interest, the Italian newspaper TuttoMercatoWeb subsequently stated that the Italian powerhouses were ready for Iling-Junior to leave in January.

Tottenham see ‘huge potential’ in Samuel Iling Junior

According to Football Insider, Tottenham’s management sees “huge potential” in the former Chelsea youth product. According to the source, Spurs are now trying to entice the 20-year-old with the possibility of a return to his own country.

But, TEAMtalk has disclosed that Tottenham may have competition from teams like Aston Villa, Fulham, and Everton if Samuel Iling-Junior is actually available in the January transfer window.

Spurs are considering a left winger in the wake of injuries to Manor Solomon, Richarlison, and Ivan Perisic, all of whom will miss extended amounts of time.

They have Bryan Gil and Brennan Johnson, but they could use a left-handed player that can also step in on the right when needed. Iling-Junior is a good fit.

The 20-year-old may find it alluring to play for dynamic coach Ange Postecoglou, but if he is leaving Juventus in search of “regular playing time,” he may be better off going to Fulham or Everton rather than Tottenham or Aston Villa.
