“Here we go”: Tottenham transfer team spotted watching Ange’s prime January target- Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano has shared an update regarding Tottenham’s links with Feyenoord striker Santiago Giminiez.

Spurs “appreciate” the Mexican striker, according to Romano’s report from last week, which stated that the team sent scouts to observe him play recently.

He asserted that although there haven’t been any talks yet, the club is still keeping an eye on the player.

According to Romano’s most recent report, Spurs are still pursuing him despite their close ties.

He said that Chelsea might not be giving Gimenez priority in their transfer plans, despite the connections. It seems that the London club is more interested in other possible players.

He said (via Caughtoffside):

“We still hear rumors about Santiago Gimenez, who is playing really well for Feyenoord. These rumors are about Chelsea and Tottenham, but as far as I can tell, Tottenham sent people to follow Gimenez on multiple occasions. He is performing really well and is scoring goals, but Chelsea, from what I hear, is not giving him priority and is concentrating on other players.”

“Chelsea is aware of the situation, and Gimenez may be available in January for approximately €45 million, but nothing formal is being discussed at this time.”

“It’s also crucial to note that Tottenham continues to monitor the player, so that could be a player to keep an eye on as Gimenez appears to be a key player on the market soon.”

Gimenez has reportedly attracted interest from several top European teams, including Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and Inter Milan. Tottenham has been keeping a close eye on the striker, suggesting that they are eager to see if they can sign him.

Since joining the Dutch team last summer, the Mexican international has made 60 appearances, contributing 6 assists and scoring 38 goals.

He led the league in goals scored (15) and assists (3) in his Feyenoord rookie season. In 12 games this season, he has already assisted on three goals and scored 13 league goals.

Gimenez’s prolific goal-scoring performances continue to impress and garner attention, and his possible availability in the forthcoming transfer windows may pique interest and competition even more.

Tottenham would be making a big show of intent if they were to sign the 22-year-old Mexican striker, especially if they could beat out many elite teams who were bidding for him.
