Vladimir Coufal lifts lid on what Declan Rice did in West Ham changing room on return and makes weird comment about his Arsenal move
Vladimir Coufal has lifted the lid on what Declan Rice did in the West Ham changing room on his return and makes a weird comment about his Arsenal move.
When Declan Rice made his first appearance back at West Ham following his £105 million summer transfer to Arsenal, there was no shortage of irony.
The midfield player moved to Arsenal from West Ham in an attempt to win more awards. However, his former team made sure that the Carabao Cup is one prize he will not be taking home with the Gunners this season, as the Hammers easily defeated the Gunners 3-1.
The treatment Rice would receive from the West Ham supporters who once idolized him accounted for a large portion of the hype surrounding the game.

When Rice was sent in as a second-half substitute at London Stadium, it’s safe to assume that cheers for him overshadowed jeers.
Nonetheless, there was still evident respect between the two sides. And from what one of his former teammates has claimed, it was also the situation behind the scenes.
In addition to disclosing what Rice did in the West Ham locker room upon his return, Vladimir Coufal also made an odd remark on his move to Arsenal.
Speaking following the match, Coufal disclosed that Rice made the sophisticated decision to see his former colleagues in the Hammers locker room.
‘Rice deserved Arsenal move and is even better there’ says Hammers defender
But the defender also shared his rather strange opinion that Rice ‘deserved’ his move to Arsenal and is doing even better at the Emirates.
Coufal remarked on Sky Sports News last night, “He (Rice) went to our changing room to say ‘hello’ to us and ask how we are so we had a little chat with him.”
“He’s doing a fantastic job at Arsenal, and we all hope the best for him.” He deserves this transfer to Arsenal since he performed an amazing job here and finally raised a trophy for West Ham after 50 years.
“I am unable to criticize him as he is an exceptional player who excels even more at Arsenal.”
It’s wonderful to read that upon his return to the London Stadium, Rice treated his former club with such dignity.
Despite Coufal’s assertions that he “deserved” the transfer and had become “even better” since joining the Gunners
will irk some fans.
