Levy and Ange are considering a cut-rate signing move for a “spectacular” Spurs player.
After a wasteful few years under the leadership of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, and Antonio Conte, Tottenham Hotspur were little more than a stagnant side. It’s safe to say that Ange Postecoglou has given them fresh energy. Daniel Levy appears to have made the right appointment in selecting the Australian, and he has been rewarded ever since.
With some expertise added to one of the Premier League’s most intriguing and youthful squads, the former Celtic manager might put an end to the Lilywhites’ trophy drought. And that’s when one certain player might be useful.Spurs did well to bring in players like James Maddison and Micky van de Ven, who have both had fantastic starts in North London, following the loss of Harry Kane in the summer. In Spurs’ most recent win over Crystal Palace, Maddison notably stood out and was able to maintain his stellar play. Thanks to goals from Heung-min Son and some excellent effort from Maddison that resulted in an own goal, Postecoglou’s team prevailed 2-1.
In order to put their rapid start to the season into perspective, Spurs are currently two points ahead of their bitter rivals from North London, Arsenal, and are atop the league after ten games. If they land their rumored summer transfer target, things might become even better.
Spurs are reportedly considering a move for Toni Kroos, who may just require a small payment, as early as January, according to Phil Thomas of The Sun. After his contract expires in the summer of 2020, the Real Madrid midfielder is expected to depart the La Liga giants, with Tottenham being the most likely destination amongst the interested Premier League teams. As a result, he would be a free agent and might represent the best summer deal available to Spurs or other Premier League teams. Kroos may yet have one more significant move remaining in him at the age of 34.
Why Real Madrid might lose Toni Kroos
It seems inevitable that Kroos will be remembered as a Real Madrid legend. However, the former Bayern Munich player is finding it difficult to secure a regular starting spot as Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde, and Aurelien Tchoameni emerge and Jude Bellingham steals the show. Having said that, after such a fruitful time together, it appears that the moment is right for Kroos and the Spanish giants to embark on a new chapter in their respective careers.
Player Toni Kroos Yves Bissouma Pape Matar-Sarr
Goals 1 0 1
Assists 3 0 1
Progressive Passes 66 64 58

Kroos is still more than capable at 34, as evidenced by his stats. The 34-year-old Postecoglou stands out among the midfield possibilities available to Spurs in the summer on a free transfer, and he has the potential to make a significant impact.Toni Kroos has had a remarkable career. Among the many people who have praised him is Real Madrid great and former manager Zinedine Zidane, who told Real France that Kroos “will be remembered as a spectacular player, one of the best in the world in his position.” As you might guess, I was overjoyed to be his coach when I first came.”
