‘Amazing’: Pundit now says Tottenham have a player who’s been better than Erling Haaland this season

Don Hutchison asserted that Son Heung-Min, the captain of Tottenham Hotspur, has outperformed Erling Haaland this year.

Son has scored six goals in eight Premier League games, which is a remarkable start to the season.

After Harry Kane left Tottenham, the 31-year-old was anointed the club’s new captain, and it’s safe to say he’s adapted to his new position wonderfully.

But since Ange Postecoglou chose to play the South Korean star as a striker in the 5-2 victory at Turf Moor last month, his form has improved.

In fact, he scored three goals in the hat against Burnley, two in the North London Derby, and one in the 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

Erling Haaland, the great forward for Manchester City, now trails him in the Premier League’s top goalscoring standings with eight goals.

Hutchison, however, asserts in an interview with ESPN FC that Son has outperformed Haaland thus far this season.

It’s safe to say that Hutchison’s decision to omit Haaland from the list didn’t sit well with fellow commentator Alejandro Moreno.

Hutchison, though, thinks that while Haaland is currently the top scorer in the world of football, Son has excelled this year.

You can’t argue that [Haaland] is in peak form, can you? You cannot in eight games.

“Erling Haaland is the best striker in the Premier League and around the world, if that’s a question.

But who has displayed outstanding play during the first eight games of the season? Son, Isak, and Salah are there.

Hutchison selected a front-three consisting of Son, Alexander Isak, and Mohamed Salah for his Premier League Team of the Season thus far.

Alejandro Moreno, a fellow commentator, undoubtedly disagreed with Hutchison’s decision to omit Haaland.

Although Hutchison acknowledges that Haaland is the best scorer in the world of football, Son has excelled this year, in his opinion.

You can’t claim that he’s [Haaland] at his best, can you? You are unable to in eight games.
