Ward-Prowse is totally disappointed

Ward-Prowse is dissatisfied.

unlike some James Ward-Prowse laments that the Hammers’ 2-0 victory over Sheffield United wasn’t more impressive.

The manager and Tomas Soucek both asserted that only the results mattered—and of course, they are both correct—before stating that the contest was never going to be simple and that a larger margin of victory was challenging.

However, Ward-Prowse has expressed his own disappointment that it didn’t occur on a day when the Irons were clearly the greater team.

And, in his fully honest opinion, that means they must put in a lot of effort to make greater improvement.

At 2-0, Ward-Prowse was defeated.

We’re quite happy with the performance, he remarked. Every Premier League game is challenging, but the Saturday match was made more challenging by playing a team that had a trying week the previous week.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game, but the two early goals helped us, and I think we’re a little bit disappointed that we weren’t able to build on that [with more goals] in the second half,” said the players.

James Ward-Prowse celebrates with Jarrod Bowen after he scored against Sheffield United

The 28-year-old midfielder’s performance in his first seven games for the Hammers, where he has already scored two goals and provided five assists, is quite impressive and demonstrates how quickly talented players adapt to new environments.

Additionally, he was determined to express his gratitude to the club’s patrons and employees for assisting him in adjusting to his new surroundings so fast after moving from the south coast.

He continued, “I have been welcomed by everyone at the Club with open arms. I already knew a few of the guys, so that made things a little bit simpler, but the Player Care crew and everyone else at the training facility have been very friendly to me and have made me feel right at home, letting me do my thing on the field.

“Of course the fans have been terrific, and it helps that we’ve had a good start and we’ve had a few performances against some of the top teams. There are plenty of positives and lots to build on.”
