Photo: ‘Superstar’ Spurs player spotted back in training for first time this season ahead of Liverpool clash

Before tomorrow’s match against Liverpool, there is some good news for Tottenham Hotspur supporters: Bryan Gil is back practising on the pitch.

Gil is one of the players who has yet to play a game for Tottenham this season. Spurs have dealt with a number of injuries thus far this year. He might, however, return very, very soon at this point.

Bryan Gil returns to Tottenham training ahead of Liverpool clash

In the summer of 2019, Tottenham acquired Bryan Gil from Sevilla in a player-plus-cash swap in which Erik Lamela was sent in the opposite direction.

The young player hasn’t got a lot of opportunity while wearing a Spurs jersey because Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte weren’t particularly fond of him.

With Ange Postecoglou in charge, things might be different now. Many people believe Gil would fit in wonderfully because the Australian plays an exciting type of football.

Unfortunately for the Spaniard, he hasn’t played since the start of the season because of surgery that he had at the beginning of August.

Gil was discovered earlier this week in the gym at Hotspur Way, as we previously informed you. It appears like he is back on the practise fields ahead of tomorrow’s match against Liverpool.

Gil was pictured yesterday in training with Cristian Romero, Richarlison, and other Spurs players.

Gil could explode under Postecoglou

There is no disputing the fact that Bryan Gil is a tremendous player.

The gifted Spanish player, who Graham Roberts once referred to as a “superstar,” possesses all the necessary attributes to succeed, but he really suffered under defensive managers like Santo and Conte.

Now that everyone else in the attack is excelling under Postecoglou, we had a sense that Gil would as well because he looks to be a perfect fit for the Australian.

It will be intriguing to see if Gil will be fit enough to make the squad when Tottenham plays Liverpool tomorrow.
