Man City are reportedly on the verge of snatching away top young West Ham star claims Fabrizio Romano in new crushing blow
In a second humiliating blow, Fabrizio Romano reports that Man City is about to pick up a key young West Ham player.
West Ham players currently seem to be the focus of Manchester City’s recruitment efforts.
The summer saw Man City abandon a deal for Lucas Paqueta of the Hammers after their attempt to acquire Declan Rice was unsuccessful.
The Premier League winners, who overcame a 1–0 deficit to defeat West Ham 3–1, then made an unexpected move to sign defender Jamal Baptiste, who had been released.

Carlton Cole, the head coach of the West Ham academy, previously praised the highly-regarded teenage England center-back as the next Rio Ferdinand.
Baptiste’s acquisition was part of Man City’s effort to unite and “develop the best youngsters in Europe,” according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano before the deal was finalised.
Now that they are back at it, the extremely wealthy Etihad side.
Romano thinks that the reason for this devastating blow is that Man City are about to steal another outstanding young West Ham star.
According to an exclusive by Romano, Manchester City is planning to buy West Ham’s star midfielder Divine Mukasa, who now plays for England’s Under-17 team.
‘Academy remains crucial part of club’s project’
He’s even given the move his trademark ‘Here we go’.
“Manchester City poised to sign talented England U17 midfielder Divine Mukasa from West Ham — here we go, confirmed,” Romano said.
“Long term deal agreed — to be formally sealed in next 48 hours.
“City keep going for best talents as their Academy remains crucial part of the club’s project.”
It does make you wonder what is the point of having an academy in the modern game if the best young talents are just hoovered up by clubs like Man City.
