Oh No: Spurs to be without “Key player” against Burnley.

The Argentine is apparently in Ange Postecoglou’s plans.

Before today’s match against Burnley, Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou provided an injury report on midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.

Tottenham team news vs Burnley

Spurs have had a strong start to the new Premier League season, going undefeated in their first three league games.

During the summer transfer window, Postecoglou also had to manage without star striker Harry Kane, who signed a multi-million pound deal to join Bayern Munich.

In their first game without Kane, Tottenham managed to draw 2-2 with Brentford on the road. That result was followed by victories of 2-0 over Man United and Bournemouth, respectively.

The media has also praised Postecoglou’s form of attacking, flowing, and open football. Sky Sports analyst Roy Keane praised the Australian’s “simple” but successful style.

He doesn’t make the game more difficult, does he? After Tottenham’s triumph over United, Keane commented on Sky (via Glasgow Times), “He keeps it very simple.

Obviously, what he is saying is plain sense, and we have seen that previously at his former clubs, especially when he was with Celtic.

“And perhaps a team like Spurs and the guys there needed that. We can all make the game more difficult, but he seems to do a great job at making it simpler.

The Postecoglou era has gotten off to a very promising start, and the summer additions of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, young center back Ashley Phillips, defender Micky van de Ven, playmaker James Maddison, winger Manor Solomon, forward Brennan Johnson, and striker Alejo Veliz have helped Spurs’ new head coach.

The Lilywhites’ upcoming meeting against freshly promoted Burnley at Turf Moor might be a difficult test if Spurs aren’t playing their best.

In order to keep up Tottenham’s dominant start to the new season, Postecoglou will be without one player, according to the former Celtic head coach.

During Spurs’ preseason summer tour of the Far East, Postecoglou also lauded Lo Celso, who is currently rumored to be in the manager’s plans despite summer exit speculations.

The Argentine, who won the World Cup with his nation last year in Qatar, is expected to miss today’s match against Burnley due to injury.

Lo Celso’s injury isn’t thought to be serious, which is better news for Spurs.

Postecoglou (via football.london) said that Gio Lo Celso was the only person missing from the previous night.

We took him off at halftime because he had a quad strain. Nothing too serious, but [there is time to heal] with the next international break.

What’s been said about Lo Celso?

Given that Postecoglou is a fan of the South American, this is the perfect opportunity for Lo Celso to finally fight his way into the Tottenham team.

The 27-year-old’s talent is undeniable; in fact, Lo Celso was previously referred to as the “top player in the world” by former colleague Geronimo Rulli.

During Lo Celso’s 2022 Villarreal loan, Rulli told Super Deporte, “He gives us a plus as a team.”

“He aids in our development, and I learn nothing by claiming that he is a top player in the world. I hope he does well since I am quite familiar with him as a player and a person.
