Dead line: Reason why Player will not be joining Spurs and why the deal collapsed.
Fulham central defender Tosin Adarabioyo reportedly does not want to move to Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur is interested in Tosin Adarabioyo, a London and Premier League competitor of Fulham, according to 90min.
According to the report, Adarabioyo “remains a target for Spurs” despite “little progress” being made in that regard.
Eric Dier has been made available by Tottenham to Fulham in exchange for Adarabioyo’s attendance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Adarabioyo’s disinterest in joining the North London club is the problem for Spurs.
The 25-year-old English central defender is “pushing to join Monaco instead,” claims 90min.
Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham to Tottenham Hotspur unlikely to happen now
We don’t believe Tosin Adarabioyo can be acquired by Tottenham Hotspur from Fulham today.
There is little point in the North London club trying to change the defender’s mind this late in the window if he himself does not want to transfer to Spurs.
Tottenham would do better to look for a different center-back.
Adarabioyo has so far appeared in 59 games in the Premier League.
In those contests, the defender has one goal and 12 shutouts.
This season, Tottenham wants to place among the top four teams in the Premier League standings.
