Kane sent clear transfer message as next Tottenham signing spotted in crowd
Tottenham’s newest acquisition from that league was spotted in the crowd at the Shakhtar game. Harry Kane has been linked to a transfer to the Bundesliga.
On May 20, 2023, in London, England, during the Premier League game between Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford FC, Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur thanks the crowd for their support.
On Sunday, Spurs will play a friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. When the team’s captain, Harry Kane, was introduced over the loudspeakers, the crowd erupted in applause. Understandably, fans want to see Kane rejoin the dynamic offensive unit that Ange Postecoglou wants to build.
Bayern and Spurs still have a good relationship and talks are likely to continue, however a clear deadline is set. football.london understands that Kane will stay at the club for the 2023/24 season if he has not been sold before the opening day clash with Brentford, despite over three weeks of the window remaining after that game.
Five arrivals have thus far been sealed under Postecoglou, although another two appear imminent. On Sunday, Argentine wonderkid Alejo Veliz confirmed his transfer to Tottenham in a deal worth £13million with the 19-year-old spotted at the airport before travelling to London.
He stated, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, “I will bid the fans farewell with an official greeting. I’m just waiting for my impending contract signing with Spurs. Tottenham has also completed a summer transfer for defender Micky van de Ven, who is expected to join in a deal of €50 million (£43 million).
Van de Ven is scheduled to get a medical at his new club on Monday, but before that happens, he was seen watching the game versus Shakhtar in the crowd.
Tottenham welcomed Ashley Phillips from Blackburn over the weekend and more defensive additions could still arrive before the window closer. Edmond Tapsoba and Tosin Adarabioyo are other targets for the north Londoners and another addition could be made, but it could depend on the future of Kane.
