Investigation is still on: Unbelievable event around Tottenham Hotspur stadium

An inquiry into a murder has been launched after a man was shot and killed nearby the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

Just after 11.30 p.m. on Sunday, police and paramedics were summoned to White Hart Lane in Tottenham, north London.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was discovered with gunshot wounds and passed away soon after, according to the Metropolitan Police. The football field was a mile away for him.

Detectives looking the homicides have started their probe, but no arrests have been made.

‘Inquiries are ongoing’

Scotland Yard said: “Officers believe they know who the deceased is and are working to inform his next of kin.

“Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

“Homicide detectives from the Met’s specialist crime team are investigating. A crime scene has been put in place. No arrests have been made. Inquiries are ongoing.

‘Don’t want to be around here’

On Monday afternoon, there was still a police barrier around the location.

Community people gathered around the cordon in shock.

One local, who wished to remain unnamed, claimed that a slew of recent occurrences in the neighborhood preceded the shooting.

“I like my area, I like living here, there’s a lot of nice people, decent family-oriented people,” she said.

“But when you hear about something like this it really makes you feel unsafe.”

She continued, “I mean, it might not be aimed at them, but wrong place, wrong time, and the innocent get hurt. ” She expressed concern for her children.

“This is the worst part of it, and then you think to yourself, you don’t want to be around here.”
