LEAKED: Bayern Munich set to table another low-ball bid full of ‘caveats and clauses
Bayern Munich are set to return to Tottenham with an offer of £75m for Harry Kane, in a deal that will be full of add-ons and clauses that are dependent on how successful the striker is in Germany.
In terms of Harry Kane’s future, Tottenham are now in a difficult position. The 30-year-old has one year left on his Spurs deal and is rumored to be interested in moving to Bayern Munich this summer.
With a new deal worth almost £400,000 per week, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is aiming to persuade Kane to commit his future to the team (Telegraph). Kane must be moved this summer if he refuses to sign a new contract, according to reports that Joe Lewis made this clear (Telegraph).
Bayern Munich, who have already had two offers for Kane rejected, is rumored to be interested in signing the striker.
The German outfit are expected to come back with a new offer imminently and are confident they can wrap up a deal for Kane by early August (Football Insider).
The Telegraph reported this weekend that a breakthrough could occur early next week, as Levy is set to meet with Bayern chiefs to discuss the situation.
Bayern Munich to offer £75m for Harry Kane
The Daily Mail now claims that Bayern’s next bid could end up being less than what Spurs have set for Kane’s value and could include a variety of performance-related bonuses.
The North London club are reportedly looking for a deal worth at least £85 million for their star player, but Bayern thinks such price tag is “extraordinary” and may instead make a proposal of approximately £75 million, which is about £15 million less than Tottenham’s estimation.
The new contract will include a number of “caveats and clauses” that will become operative if Kane “delivers on all fronts” in assisting the German team in capturing prestigious honors, including the Champions League, as well as winning individual accolades.
With these conversations, it appears like Bayern is attempting to push Tottenham into a corner. They are aware that Kane wants to depart, and Levy will undoubtedly be considering this since the longer the problem persists, the less time Spurs will have to find a replacement. I’m hoping he holds hard and gets Kane a decent deal.
